3D… FINALLY!

Before, I talk about my first 3D encounter I shall give you a little background…

I started college about 3 years ago. First year felt more like a recap of High School but it was pretty fun especially because of the people I met. Then came sophomore year, that was filled with more work and a bit more stress. I had my design foundation course then and now? ON TO BATTLE WITH MY MAJORS! Huzzah!!!

Currently, I’m almost at the end of my first week of class. So far, I already know all of my 6 subjects are going to be asking for all my time soon enough but I have to admit, I love challenges. I love improving and discovering new things to do or make. I may complain about the stress but once I finish the job, I feel really accomplished. I’ll be learning web designing, script making, 2D and of course, 3D this term. It’s going to be mostly about the basics but I don’t mind. I can go step by step.

Okay, now I’d like to share what we did earlier today in my very first 3D animation class! Our prof was really good at explaining and welcomed questions. Sorry for the text in some of these… I just used paint XD

Everyone did this step by step together so most of my classmates have the same table… but the last 30 minutes our seatwork was to make another table of our choice.

This is how it looks like in the middle of the process.

We weren’t taught how to really bend shapes yet but at least we found out how to apply color and transparency : D

All in all, I found out that 3D animation can bring out the OC-ness of a person. I still see corrections I can make but I didn’t have time to fix it. I’m really excited to continue experimenting. My greatest fear still is the infamous crashing computer but hopefully, it doesn’t happen!
